#LovinLife

People tend to always focus on what is bad in life. I admit it... I do the same thing. However, I know that is not the best way to live my life. This week my goal has been trying to get my thoughts back on track and appreciate life more. We each only have one life to experience so lets make each moment count. I am extremely happy to be alive, and grateful for all of the wonderful people I have to experience life with.

Next time you are feeling down just remember things will always get better. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Like I have quoted on many occasions "Stay positive and love your life" (All of you who know me know I have mad love for 311)

Thanks for stopping by and reading some more Random Thoughts by Me! See ya next time. ;)

An Awesome Valentines Day Idea

Such a great idea! <= Link to a pretty cool Valentines idea on Pinterest.

So I am not the most girlie of the girls I guess. Of course every women likes to get gifts but to me I would much prefer something that requires thought. After all of my experience in fine dining I have seen flowers, candy, cards, rose petals and all that goes long with it over and over again. Holidays like this are so companies can make lots of money. To me the most important thing about Valentines day is showing your other half that you love and appreciate them. All the propaganda that goes along with it hardly means a thing and costs entirely to much. Try taking the time to write them a hand written note (or one for each year like in the Pinterest post), get you guys favorite pictures framed, make them dinner, maybe even a CD with all your songs, whatever it is.... be unique. She will remember all of that way longer then a dozen roses, I promise.

Just my thoughts on the subject... Thanks again for reading my blog!

A Little Bit About Me

I am pretty new at this blogging stuff but I figured I would give it a chance. I plan on posting articles to keep you up to date with the real estate market, our community, and of course some fun articles to lighten things up a bit. It would boring if it all was only about work now wouldn't it? I, by far am no journalist but enjoy writing and hope that you all enjoy the information I have to offer.

I will start off with a little about myself. I have lived the majority of my life in Houston, TX where I grew up with my parents, one brother and one sister. My family is very close knit and always will be. I attended Cy Creek high school where I met the love of my life, Dustin. He is by far the most amazing person I have ever met. We got married last year on August 11th to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. We bought a home in Cypress a few years back and live there with our 2 dogs Toby and Baby. He has a very supportive family that has loved me from day 1. Last of all, I can't go without mentioning the relationships I have with my friends. I feel that between our families and friends there is nothing we can't do.

My work history has been primarily in the customer service industry. I started waiting tables at 18 and have done it ever since. About 7 years ago I took on a server position at a local fine dining establishment. Not that this was my dream job, but it was easy money and it paid the bills. Some people automatically know what they want to do with their life straight out of high school but for me it wasn't the easiest decision. It was up to me to pay for any college I wanted to attend so I needed to be sure what I was investing my money in would be something I would actually enjoy doing. A couple years ago one of my best friends (who happens to be my mother in law) got into real estate. Her success and happiness in the industry excited me and motivated me to do something more with my life. I had utilized my time at Perry's to establish incredible customer service skills. I can't begin to explain how much it taught me. I plan on using those skills in my real estate career. When it boils down to it, they don't seem too different to me. I am going to work hard to insure that my client has the smoothest, most pleasing experience possible that will leave them wanting to use my service again and again. I will be respectful in their desires and needs and will be dedicated to finding them the perfect product that will suit them best. I have always enjoyed building personal relationships with my clients and plan on being the becoming one of the top producing Realtors in Houston, TX.

So there you have it, a basic summary of me. Thanks for taking the time to read my blog! Hope to see you here again soon!
